Daily Hope & Prayer

Daily Hope and Prayer – May 4

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. (James 1:19-20)

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your loving kindness. Thank you for your wisdom that teaches us how to love others through our speech. Please speak through me today. Show me how edify others. Break down barriers through the words that I say. Heal others with my tongue. If I am tempted to respond in anger, pour your peace into me. I yield myself to you entirely. Please help me to be a peacemaker. Teach me listen and practice discernment before I speak, and help me be slow to anger.

May your righteousness be demonstrated through my interactions with others.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
