And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. (Romans 8:28-29)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for adopting me as your child. I praise you because despite my weaknesses and shortcomings, you love me faithfully, and I can call you “Abba,” Father!
Please help me to remember that when I suffer, there is a purpose behind it. All your acts are intentional and purposeful. Lord, please teach me to keep in the forefront of my mind that I am loved and called.
Before I was born, you had a plan for my life, to draw me to you, to save me, and to use my life for your glory. Thank you, Father. Please show me the path to walk and help me to take it obediently. Please teach me how to avoid becoming overwhelmed by my problems, mistakes, failures, or persecutions. Instead, please show me how to love you with all I am and then place a servant’s heart within me. Change me into someone who actively pursues ways to encourage and comfort those around me.
