And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being a loving God who desires to hear from me. Thank you for responding to and answering my prayers and for your Holy Spirit, who intercedes for me when I don’t know how to pray.
I pray that my will would align with yours. Please give me a heart that is tender to your direction so I will obey your will. Please teach me how to pray about everything and renew my desire to pray continually. Please help me not to simply pray for what I want but instead for what you want. Please show me how to pray for others and teach me to pray selflessly.
May my prayers honor you and bless others.
