Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your example of love. You loved me before I was born and prepared a place for me with you in eternity. You love me at my worst and love me at my best. You loved me so much that you paid the ultimate price for my salvation and freedom. Thank you, Lord.
I want to love others like you love me, sacrificial and unconditionally. Show me how to walk in love in a way that blesses others. Lord, please teach me to demonstrate kindness and patience to others in my choices and words. Please reveal any envy, pride, bitterness, selfish ambition, or selfishness in my heart, and remove it from me. Please help me to forgive others the way you forgive me, completely. Please give me a heart that longs for truth, righteousness, and justice. Please help me to overflow with Christ-like love for all people.
May I express love toward others that always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres.
