This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being a God who desires to hear from me and who answers my prayers. You care about my prayers so much that your Holy Spirit and Son intercede for me. You have promised that if I stand in faith and ask according to your will, you would answer my prayers. Thank you, Lord.
There have been times when I have doubted your ability or willingness to respond to my petitions. Please forgive me. Please strengthen my faith and help me to discern your will. Then please help my prayers reflect your heart.
Lord, please teach me how to pray for others. May my faith and prayers be used to build up your kingdom and bless those around me.
