The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)
Heavenly Father.
Thank you for your being my Savior and my champion. You fight my battles, comfort me when I am hurting, and strengthen me when I am weak. Thank you for your loving care.
There are times when I face overwhelming odds, and instead of turning to and trusting you, I allow myself to fall into distress and worry. Forgive me, Lord. Please turn my eyes toward you daily. Please remind me that you are my stronghold, and I have nothing to fear because of your provision, guidance, and protection. Please steady me when I would waver in doubt. Please teach me to find solace in your presence.
Please grow within me a love that is greater than my fear of others or my circumstances.
