Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your presence. Thank you for your peace.
Please teach me to walk in joy and rejoice regardless of my circumstances. Sometimes life is hard, and I focus more on my situation than your love. Sometimes I have focused more on finding my strength in relationships and things than seeking you. Forgive me. Please calm any anxiety, and help me draw near you, seeking you through prayer and honoring you through praise. Please remind me during difficult seasons that you are with me and help me to experience the lasting peace that only comes from you. Please strengthen my faith and help me to trust who you are over what I can accomplish on my own.
May your Spirit pour peace onto me that overflows to those around me.
